For Jamika Bradford, The Hop streetcar is a perfect ride a couple of times a week to get groceries or visit downtown.
“I think it’s really efficient that we have it down here,” Bradford said. “You know, it’s free. You get on, you can get off where you’re going. You might do a little walking, but, you know, they’ll get you pretty much where you need to go.”
But Bradford notices there aren’t as many fellow riders like her lately as The Hop starts to slowly recover from pandemic slow-downs that emptied much of downtown Milwaukee.
With the pandemic receding, focus is again turning to the future prospects and challenges for Milwaukee’s nearly 3-year-old streetcar line.Margaret Cahill, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, July 2, 2021
